Michigan as a whole is facing tough economic times. Oakland County has lost many jobs due to the layoffs in the auto industry. Oakland County needs to diversify their workforce, attracting the IT and Healthcare Industries. This would include programs to retrain and assist placement to those who have lost their jobs. Oakland County needs this diversity to move forward.

Children

Children are the future of our country. We need to support programs, institutions, the community programs that teach advancement and promote unity between our children. Examples of these programs are the Mandarin Chinese, the Girls and Boys Club, and the community sports. We need to provide the children of today the tools, support, health, and leadership to be successful in tomorrow’s world.

Taxes

Cutting taxes and not introducing new taxes means more money in your pocket. Lower taxes should help stimulate consumer spending and entice businesses to setup shop in our County. Let’s keep taxes low without getting rid of essential programs and services.
